Vive la France!: 4 of the Best Places in France to Celebrate Bastille Day

Loire Valley

The Loire Valley is one of the most beautiful regions of France, making it an ideal place to spend Bastille Day. You’ll find the highest concentration of castles in the world along the Loire River, which is why it is known as the “Royal River.”

One of the best ways to celebrate Bastille Day in the Loire Valley is to have a picnic along the banks of the river. The fertile valleys and the temperate climate are ideal for produce, so each of the marketplaces in the small towns and villages will be overflowing with delicious fruits and vegetables in July.

Plus, you can even take a detour to a local vineyard and sample some of the excellent gentle reds and fruity whites that this region is known for.
