Located in Central Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo is surrounded by countries rife with civil strife. With a population of over 80 million, the Democratic Republic of Congo is also one of the world’s largest francophone countries.

Rich in natural resources such as soil, water, and minerals, Congo is nevertheless plagued by political instability and corruption with many of the locals living in fear.
