What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, especially your money. It’s no secret that a trip to Las Vegas can be an easy way to part from a good chunk of your bank account, but if you take a step back from the tables and spend some time exploring the city instead, you might feel like an even bigger winner.

There are plenty of good ways to do Vegas on a budget and save on accommodation and food. But if you are really looking to cut corners, hitting up all of the free attractions in the city is the perfect way to do so.

These are the best free things to do in Las Vegas, whether you’re on foot or have a car at your disposal.

Bellagio Conservatory

Everyone knows the Bellagio fountain is a big free thing to do at night. While the crowds push and shove for prime viewing, head inside to the lobby to see the large Chihuly sculpture on the ceiling, then go through to the conservatory to see something really spectacular.

The Bellagio changes the theme of the plants and flowers every season with large props, water features and more. The conservatory is open 24 hours a day, has scheduled live entertainment and has a ton of photo ops.

The Polaroid Museum

The new shopping district on The Strip is the Linq Promenade. It’s lined with fantastic shops and dining venues and is sandwiched between casinos.

At one end is the popular High Roller, but a great little hidden gem is located above the Polaroid shop. See the evolution of Polaroid cameras, along with the history of the company and artwork made from insta-snaps. It’s not large, but it’s worth the stop.

Fremont Street Experience

Some people have been to Vegas many times and haven’t been to Fremont Street. You can take the bus there if you don’t have a car, but it’s definitely a great way to spend an evening.

After dark, three stages light up with live music of all kinds, people in crazy outfits stand by for photos, and at intervals throughout the night the three blocks of Fremont Street go dark for a light show in the sky. Millions of lights light up the overhead canopy for 15 minutes at a time and it’s totally free.
